sorry to say but the dream chooses you...it's a sub-conscious thing..and BEWARE of the spirit world..you may not want to open that door, and if it's open then SHUT IT.

There is a technique called "lucid dreaming" that some people are able to master. By training yourself to remember and connect more with your dreams, your subconscious mind allows greater conscious control of your dreams. It's not something you'll learn overnight, but with practice and patience you should gain some level of control.
A quick Yahoo search yielded the following web site as a resource that you can check out for yourself:

BLOCKING all else, FOCUS very vividly... more than that..... then..... make up your own conscious mind that it is CONTACTING the layers 'below', and programming what it wants done and delivered to consciousness sometime, somehow, the next day,, telling the uncinscious to be rescourcefull and positively imaginative to the BEST of YOUR unconscious thinker's constant and proven ability. AND tell yourself that you have faith in all of your working parts, real & imaginary, and that you are absolutley convicted that positively, actually expecting results is sane, and will even become NORMAL for who but you... yeah, you. This is a strong measure, but even this has to break previous program, and may take some days. YOU'RE not going to get results unless you look this in the face repeatedly; so, the question is, Do you want them?
