Yes I do bring my own bible. However, whatever type bible is available IS God's word and you can find the truth within it's pages despite translation. I personally will use New World Translation, or the New King James Version.

One reason why modern translations may be better than such old ones as the King James of 1611 is that the English language itself has changed over the years. For example, to “let” used to mean to “hinder.” Today the meaning usually attached to the expression is just the opposite, to “permit.”

it is a most to bring your bible , like any true believer they have spent a lot of time highlighting and writing notes in the book lots of Christians do not go any where with out there bible you never know when you can use it to save a lost soul are to show somebody the truth and were it written in the bible . it would be a Lot easier if you were familiar with your own notes in your bible there for getting to the point instead of fumbling around with different translations

I bring my own - I'm on vacation now and have one with me! :) I'm just comfortable with the one I always use - I'm familiar with it. I also really enjoy the English Standard Version and many other copies of the Bible are the older King James Version or another version. I just like to use mine - but there is nothing wrong with the most of the others out there. :)

I travel with my own Bible. Who knows if the hotel you are staying at even has a Bible?

I bring my own Bible with me when I travel. I have a study Bible, and it helps me when I am looking for different things.

Nowadays, we can read the Holy Books at any time, anywhere on the earth through the Internet. We can even consult with any people on all physical and spiritual matters. The light of unity is now encompassing the whole world.

We bring ours. The Bible becomes a personal thing because it has all our personal notes in it and it is in a translation we are used to.
