No. You're too young, no need, and it doesn't sound that hairy. I have the same hairiness (or lack thereof) as you do and I have never waxed/shaved my arms (and I'm in my late 20's).

First of all, do not become obsessed with arm hair. I also have noticeable hair on my arms, and as I grew older I found that some guys actually DO think that it is sexy.
DEFINITELY DO NOT SHAVE. Shaving does make hair grow back thicker and darker plus you'll have to worry about stubble. If you are insistent on ridding it, then wax. As previously stated, waxing pulls the hair from the root, which will ultimately destroy the hair follicle and prevent hair from growing there again. Of course, that will be over a period of several years. I know this for a fact because I've been arching my eyebrows by tweezing for about 12 years and now they don't grow back.

I don't know of anyone, besides swimmers, who shave/wax their arm hair. If it's fine, don't worry about it at all.

And no, it doesn't grow back thicker because of shaving/waxing. What happens is two things. First, people usually start shaving/waxing while in puberty. Since the hair does get thicker as people mature, they often think the thickening is due to the shaving. What also happens is the when the hair does begin to regrow, it's so short if feels really stiff, and that seems to make people think it's thicker. Think about it. If every time a person shaved or waxed the hair grew back thicker, 50 y/o men would have beard hairs thicker than their fingers.

So, I'd like to clear up that your hair does NOT grow back thicker than before. The reason that people believe that is because people usually start shaving areas while they are hitting puberty, which is why your hair grows back thicker and darker, because you're hitting *puberty*. There won't be repercussions of shaving or waxing, though if you can, I'd suggest waxing. It lasts longer.

..."The most common myth about hair and shaving it is that it will grow back thicker and faster, which is absolutely not true and has no merit. While it might look thicker, and maybe darker, it actually is not. "

If there is no need to shave your arms, then don't. But if you want to, you won't be a freak of nature. I do it. =]

Never, never, never shave your arm hair. It will grow back thick and stubbly. Ewww! Not attractive on females.
A good option for hair removal on the arms is either waxing or using a depilatory cream like Nair.
Or, even better, don't do anything yet. Depending on your hair color, and if the hairs are that fine then maybe you just don't need to deal with hair removal yet. Because believe me, once you start you'll be doing it the rest of your life.

If you wax groth will not appear for 2 weeks. But it is painful. If you want to avoid pain shave it which has to be done every alternate day. Regular shaving makes the skin dark in the arm pit. You have to bleach once in a while.Say once a month or so.

WAX WAX WAX....if you shave it will grow back like a beard! thicker and blacker! ive been waxing my arms a few years now n now the hair growth has slowed down loads. cz its 4 a wedding do it only a few days before the wedding cz otherwise you will get the odd hair growing back early because its your first time. DONT SHAVE!

It depends on how much pain your willing to take. Waxing can be very...umm... irritating but it leaves u nice and smooth-ish. Shaving is alot less painful but if u dont do it right it can leave little hair bumbs behind. If this is the first time your doing anything to your under arm you should go with shaving. Its easy and virtually pain free. It all actually depends on what you feel more confortable with. Good luck :)

If you start doing this, you'll be doing it for the rest of your life. The hair will grow back stubbly and look thicker and darker.
If you MUST do something to remove hair on your arms, I suggest waxing.
Btw, I think you're too young to even consider it.

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.
Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.

Shaving is out. It might come back darker and thicker.
Wax if you wish.
I think, though, that you're maybe overreacting, unless you have thick, dark man-hair. I'm fine with a girl who has fine hair on her arms. It's normal. To me it doesn't detract from her beauty in the least.
