Inside Windows Media Player go to help -> about Windows Media Player.

Go to the "Help" drop down. You can get there by right clicking on the top boundry. Select "About Windows Media Player" and you will get a detail on what you are running. This technique works on most windows utilities and programs.

1. Go to start and hit run
2. Type wmplayer and hit ok
3. Once media player starts, go to help -> about windows media player. This should tell you your version.

On the menu, at the top, click Help, then click About Windows Media Player.
If you don't see the menu, press Ctrl+M.
