Your dad has the right to disapprove of your sister's decision but she's over the age of 18 and an adult, making her legally able to get a tattoo without his approval and experienced enough to deal with her decision. He has no authority over her. Although you might agree with either person, try not to get into their argument and side with someone. Just stay as far away as possible. Your dad's going to have to realize one day that your sister is an adult capable of making her own decisions and that takes time.

You're sister is 23, she can do whatever she wants to do. But then again i'm 20, and i have two tattoos and my mom still flips out with anything i do. She found out about the second one and goes "thats not real, please tell me thats not real"
Your dad cannot stop your sister from doing anything to herself. From a piercing or a tattoo.

You can do nothing. And neither can he. Tattoos are permanent. Your sister is of legal age to get a tattoo, and really after she turned 18 how she decorates her body is NONE of his or anyone elses business.

She should be able to do as she likes.
She is over the age of 18 and doesn't need the protection of family any more. If she wanted a tattoo and paid for it herself, she can do as she likes.
Anyway, you can't get it off unless you cut the skin off, and I'm not garunteeing that she's going to do that anytime soon.

Unless you want your sister to tell return the favor later, I would just stay out. It is her body and it is her relationship with your dad.

First of all, if she wants to get a tattoo, she's allowed to. If your dad is upset, that's his problem. Either way, it's no business of yours, so just stay out of it.

She's an adult he has no say in what she does anymore. You should not be in the middle of this at all. Your sister should just be straight up with him if he asks her, but if he asks you you shouldn't say anything because you'll put yourself in a situation.

What should you do? Nothing. It is between the two of them and isn't your business. It's not really your dad's business, either, but that's for the two of them to work out.
