She needs more exercise, more attention and less time alone. Your dog is bored!

Youre not alone at all !!! I have a vizsla going on two years now and she is literally off the walls.. Her favorite activitie is garbage picking and tearing up paper ( my dog really did eat my homework..) Anyway, I do not know if you are leaving her by herself when she is doing the chewing but my dog gets into trouble if left alone, i guess she feels that she must be with me at all times.. I give her alot of hard bones, the ones that are suppose to be indestuctable and it keeps her occupied. I also crate my dog whenever I am not home because of her behavior problems.

This is a hunting dog - a high energy, active hunting dog. Perhaps 2 walks a day aren't enough - she is bored. What are you doing to occupy her mind? Does she get any obedience? Agility perhaps? This breed isn't going to do well sitting around a house all day.
