The reason for two cooling fans on the radiator are as follows:
1. One cooling fan is connected electronically to the engine temperature sensor and is regulated on and off by the engine temperature.
2. The other fan is solely dedicated to provide cooling for the air conditioning condenser. This fan runs full-time when the AC is operating.
3. Both fans will run at the same time and independently, depending on the demands placed on the engine and air conditioning system.

Simple. Open the hood. Get in the car and start the motor. Are they on ? Sometimes these fans work depending on how hot the engine gets. Some fans are on all of the time. It should'nt take long to find out.

if there are two fans then electric motors turn them there is temperature switches and computer that manage them, relays in the relay center will say which fan they run usually independant. usually one is running and the other is not until your engine needs it sometimes turning on the air conditioning will kick on the high speed fan. hope it helps.
