Not sure what kind I need. Are the ones designed for computers okay for big TV's, the one I bought is 350VA, 200 watts and has 27 minutes runtime.

Be sure the UPS has a higher peak output than the TV's peak input power and you'll be fine. (For example: a 250W UPS can drive up to a 250W TV.) However, you probably don't need one on a TV.

why you need battery back up for tv
you use for computer so have time to save your work when power go out
why you need a few extra minutes for tv?

you dont need one for a t.v. a surge protector is simply so u can save ur work on your computer before your power goes out.
