It makes me sad. It makes me want to be more loving and Christ-like.
I always feel heart broken when I see or hear Christians tell other people that they are going to hell in a brutal fashion.(its not what you say,its how you say it) Last time I checked,in the Christian faith, hell is a place where people are suffering. Why would you EVER wish anyone to suffer like that?

As a Christian I am told to pray for the sinner. Even Jesus was found with sinners. I believe he even said that the healthy do not need a doctor. I like my Christ too, but as a non-perfect person it is a hard thing to behave like Christ, I try my best at it and that is all that I can do. I pray to be a better person, and live my life like Christ did with compassion for all people. That is a goal that I have and with the help of God I will achieve it one day. I definitely fall short of the grace of God, that is why I am thankful that Christ died for my sins, He taken all our sins to the cross with us that one glorious day. Here we are able to celebrate another glorious day, the day Christ, the Lord of Lords, King of Kings was born. I am thankful that God loves us all and gives us the opportunity to love Him back.

Satin is a mole in the church, some Christians aren't really Christians at all. The crusaders stole, raped and killed. No wonder the Muslims don't like Christians and I can't say as I blame the Muslims, although, they should be taught about Christ and who he really is.

I think Ghandi and other non-Christians seem to forget that Christians are not Christ. Christ gave us ground rules and set an example but even the Bible says we fall short of the glory.
I wonder how many Christians Ghandi met, surely not all of them, I'm sure he would have liked Mother Teresa and Billy Graham. ;=)

I find that most of the Christians on this board are pretty peaceful.
If I was going to generalize (something I prefer not to do) I would say the 'atheists' are more hateful with the anti-Muslim groups (whoever they are) being the absolute worse.
Oh, and I'm technically an atheist, so...

Hi Kallan K. I notice a lot of hateful comments on this forum too, but these comments are not limited to people who call themselves Christians. Atheists and other religions do it too.
We cannot argue, humiliate, or intimidate anyone into Heaven. God tells us no one can come to him unless he is drawn. Jesus teaches us in John 6:44:
"No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day."

Yes it is true and I agree but allot of us hear the word of God, read the word of God, and still take from it what we pick and choose instead of using it the way it was meant to be used as a how to guide. Allot of us claim to know Jesus in our hearts but, are more caught up in what color he was, what religion who followed, and if he whore sandals or thongs, and we don't take the time to find out about his character, his mentality, and what he found important in this life... which is and should be all that matters since the word Christian means to be Christ like. This is why God gave us Jesus a a model to follow his example!
Col 1:15-21
15Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before God made anything at all and is supreme over all creation.
16Christ is the one through whom God created everything in heaven and earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can't see-- kings, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities. Everything has been created through him and for him.
17He existed before everything else began, and he holds all creation together.
18Christ is the head of the church, which is his body. He is the first of all who will rise from the dead, so he is first in everything.
19For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ,
20and by him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of his blood on the cross.
21This includes you who were once so far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions,
(NLT)

Telling people that they are going to burn in Hell is not a hate full thing, although it seems like it. As Christians, we love everyone, so when we tell you this we are only trying to save you from an eternity of pain. Most people don't respond allot to the story's of his unimaginable love much more, so we are doing are best to save all of the unfortunate people.

exactly. so why can't people turn to Christ, follow Christ? just because so-called christians are not living it out, perhaps it would serve people better to look to Christ, not the christians that are messed up.
nowhere in the bible does it say to follow christians. follow Christ alone.
