you should just ignore your best friend. your best friend has different taste of the guy you like. every one has to like a different guy or something else would happen like you would be fighting and then break up the friendship. so just ignore your best friend not like ignore her for the rest of your life just for this talk

Your best friend must have a reason for disliking your boyfriend so much. Ask her why she dislikes him. Communicate with her and tell her how you feel about the guy and why you feel the way you do. If you do this then maybe you can both understand each other better. Communication is the basis of any relationship. Don't assume anything but get it straight from the horse's mouth.

You should find out why she "hates" him. If she dislikes him because he did something terrible to her or someone else, that is something you should find out. If he treats people awfully, then you don't want to have anything to do with him.

If she just doesn't like him, well then I wouldn't even worry what she thinks. She doesn't have to date him. Just make sure you do not alienate her to get to him. A friendship is more solid than a school age boyfriend.

Tell her that if she's really your friend, then she'll accept it and get over it. And she's going to have to really get used to it, if you two ever marry.
