A Christian beleives God is a cosmic force and beleives the force's main way of creating is information. He beleives that jesus was the son of God,...yes, but he defines it in the following:
since the cosmic force is information and infinite wisdom....for a man to know the 'infinite wisdom' so fundamentally, means he understands the concept so well that he becomes the concept, in this instance, God...Therefore jesus is God, but he is jesus and not God at the same time...
because in understanding the 'infinite wisdom' so well...he becomes God, but he is not God, by the fact that he is human...
The christian also beleives that heaven exists, but defines it thus:
before you die, time elongates so that it seems like infinity to the person...and in this perceived infinity he experiences bliss.....the same goes if he was bad.
After all....time is only a matter of perception and relative, correct?
at the same time, he beleives evolution is part of the cosmic force and that its a

benevolent cosmic force...
what about the atheist....can the atheist beleive that God doesn't exist, but only the definition of the God of the christians...whatever that might be...
but he beleives that evolution, as a benevolent force, created our world, and that a cosmic force, created the Universe....
he beleives both watch over us, naturally, and converge to goodness..
what now?

ragdefend...I only make the point....
because I very much know, that most christians and atheists often do not have the same definition...
the idea of relativism is exactly what I am getting at...
because most people do not have ONE absolute conception, they have various conceptions under one heading....I am simply saying that it doesn't make sense to CATEGORIZE everything under one heading, if there are many definitions under such a heading.
Its not SO SIMPLE.

You can believe anything you want. I believe God is a personal being, not just a cosmic force. The force you describe sounds something like my view of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is God's active force that is the way we experience his presence, but not the third person of the trinity as most religious folk believe.
Jesus, being the Son of God, and not influenced by the sinful nature of humans, was influenced only by the Holy Spirit. In this way, He became one with God. Jesus said, "I and the Father are one." He also said "The Father is greater than I am." So it seems that you make a valid point. Jesus is God, and yet not equal with God. I do believe in evolution and creation. Creation set the process of evolution in motion and it continues even today. As for heaven, I believe a few people will go there to rule and reign with Christ, but most Christians will be resurrected on a a restored Paradise Earth, with conditions much like the garden of Eden. This was God's original plan for mankind, and I don't think he has changed it.

If the atheist believe that a benevolent cosmic force created our world and a cosmic force created the universe and that the force watches over us in good will and sees to our well being, then he would believe in an intelligence that caused and continues to cause everything to come into being. He would then believe in a higher power that had and has some control over all. I would like to hear if atheists agree with this concept.

That's a very interesting and insightful interpretation of the divinity of Christ, the concept of heaven, and the existence of an eternal afterlife. Unfortunately, it doesn't line up with scripture. You should bounce some of your ideas off of some of your Christian friend, that is how you grow in the faith. Like metal sharpening metal.

Nothing is merely a matter of perception and relative. If you assume that, then there is nothing that will push you to listen to the perception of other people. Because you will say, what is true is only what I believe to be true. Relativism makes it impossible for us to know anything at all.
So either there is a God or there isn't one. If you simply change the definition of God so that it fits what you observe in reality, you will be guilty of making a procrustean bed. There was this Greek named Procrustus who made several beds and sold it to his customers. But when his customer is too tall for his bed, he would cut his customers legs so they would fit. If his customer is too short, he would stretch him so that he would fit. Don't try to make reality fit into your theories. Try to make your theories fit into reality.

i'm very sorry you sense this way, i don't sense that I even have pushed my Christian ideals down any- ones throat, I in basic terms attempt to respond to the question the main suitable i can. on occasion meaning I could tell of God's love in sending His Son Jesus to us as a savior. on occasion Christians choose for the fellowship of alternative Christians, i do no longer see alot of that taking place in this section, some ,yet no longer as much as i could have concept. I see anger alot, and resentment in how people answer the questions. you have faith in God, i wish you have faith in Jesus additionally. i'm going to wish which you nevertheless advance on your perception, yet that's no longer as much as me to settle on, it is your determination. wish you have a tremendous day, Rachel
