discovered, he shall pay the girl's father fifty
shekels of silver. He must marry the girl, for he
has violated her. He can never divorce her as long

One must ask a simple question here, who is
really punished, the man who raped the woman or
the woman who was raped? According to the
Bible, you have to spend the Rest of Your Life
with the man who Raped You.


The Prophet Muhammad Says {Volume 9, Book
86, Number 101} Narrated by Aisha:" It is
essential to have the consent of a virgin (for the
marriage)".


Would the Christian men Reading this prefer the
Women they know to Be Christian or Muslim?

100 years ago in the (US), while the Quran (42:38) gave
Women Voting rights almost 1,500 years ago.

men in the Western U.S.A. has stopped any Women from becoming

Yes, I believe most Americans think Muslim women are oppressed and that is the opinion I have. I have heard Muslim women on the news say that they are not oppressed and that they choose to wear the burka, etc. However, my cousin was married to a Muslim from Palestine and she certainly was oppressed. He told her that she was his slave and treated her as such. I don't believe this is an isolated case. Don't men in some Muslim countries have the right by law to end the lives of their wives if they choose? Don't men in Muslim countries have custody of the children so that if the couple separated the mother could not take the children out of the country without her husband's approval? At the university I attended, I observed that men from Muslim countries treated American women as if they were good for only one thing and their opinions certainly weren't worth anything. I'm sorry but I saw how horribly my cousin's husband treated her and how much arrogance and disrespect he had towards all women. Like I said, I have not learned anything new since then that disputes my earliest impression of how Muslim men treat women. That's why I look with sympathy on Muslim women.

Men r the protectors of the women. There is this verse in the Quran. But what exactly do u understand by the term 'protector'? if u r 'protecting' ur kid, do u know what sort of a responsiblity is on ur shoulders? no harm must come to the kid. physically or mentally. That is exactly what Allah tells to the men. No harm must come to their wives, physically or mentally. It is proved by sicnece that man is the stronger in physical strength. whatever u do, u cannot reverse MOTHER NATURE. U try that, u will get disaster, sooner or later. As I see it, Europe has disaster. More than 90% of the families are broken. Couples are divorced after 3-5 yrs. Children are not sure who their parents are? girls need to be naked on tv infront of cars (In the advertisments) so that the car gets sold

About the honour killings. Find me a single ahadith or the quranic verses that allows hounour killing. N let me verify honour killing. I kknow that in places like Palestine, if somebody rapes a women, it is the women who gets the death penalty by her brother, her father, her mother. Before Islam, female babies were buried dead. I studied Islam. I know what there is. If someone twists around the words of God to their purposes, that is their fault not the fault of the religion itself. It is unfair that when a Muslim does something wrong, it is the ISlam which goes to trial.

saying that muslum women are oppressed is not an accusation, it is what we say from the way men act with them in some arab countries. if you live in the USA or England or a democratic country those muslum women HAVE more freedom then the ones living say Iran or Pakistan. and when that is said it is not refering to the QRAN or anything of that sorts, it's from simple observation. It is true that women are inferior in some muslum lead/majority countries, if you say contrary then you are in denial. But it has nothing to do with the Qran

Well, in most Muslim countries -- Saudi Arabia, Iran, etc -- Muslim women are oppressed. That's the reason for the belief. Whether it's caused directly by Islam is another question.

Why do people think Muslim women are oppressed? Because many Muslim women say so.

Example: Carmen Bin Ladin wrote a book titled "Inside the Kingdom: My Life in Saudi Arabia". Incidentally, Carmen Bin Ladin was the sister-in-law of the infamous Osama. She speaks of women being confined to their homes under absolute domination of men. Of being unable to go anywhere without permission and escort by a male relative. Of women being beaten for accidentally exposing their ankle in public. Of women being divorced and having their children taken away from them at the whim of their husbands. Of women having no legal rights. Of being isolated and denied such things as reading material (except for the Quran), or television (except for Islamic religious programs) or newspapers. She speaks of women being denied the opportunity to work outside the home or to go to school except for special classes where women are segregated from men and where male teachers appear by video because it's improper for them to be in the same room with women. She speaks of not being allowed to uncover her face in the presence of any man except her husband. Do you not consider these thing to be oppressive?

Another book called "Between Two Worlds - Escape From Tyranny: Growing Up in the Shadow of Saddam" by Zainab Salbi tells a similar story.

I know that not all Muslim women live in these conditions but many do if these books are truthful. Are you saying that these women are lying?

All the honour killings of women of islam of muslims, of mothers, dautgthers, sisters, cousins, friends, aunts, grandmothers, all women killed by brothers, husband or family members of the muslim families.
The oppressions is this, women are beated, killed, and even living under condtions, that not even an animal should lived in.
Girls at age of 9 years of age, taken as a wife, and sexul, and physical abuse are being done.
WE are glad that you do not meet one of these statistic, and you are very fortunated not to have this encounter.
The news, internet, Afganstan, with the Talliban, Panikstan, and other countries, women are killed and murderd by just Honour Killings, this is the biggest problem for women who can't get help.
Plus if a woman is raped; her word is not taken for granted, that the rapist gets away with it, and usually she is murderd, for just being a victim to a selffish man who can't control his own sexual urges or power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
So be very appreaiated that you have not encountered what all of your islam sisters have already encountered in life.
Why can't your Allah save the lives of women, and keep them safe from rape, and honour killings????
