If you think your friend's mind is really set on breaking up, suggest she stays with you at your place for a few days, for the time of actual brakeup. This way, it will be easier for her not to take his calls anymore. This way, she made a commitment not only to herself but also to you. Sometimes this little extra is all we need to follow though with this.
This guy is ovbiously a very clingy type. They cling very hard, but if you shut them off consistently for a few days they really get the point and actually go away.
But something tells me she is not through with the guy, that's why she keeps allowing him to talk her out of it. If that's the case - don't pressure her.

Oh wow this kinda sounds familiar. I think if she is really unhappy then she should have no problem. When I was in high school I dated a guy who smothered me. That got old fast. If I was her would just tell him that I had something really important to me that I needed to tell him that he had to listen to. She may have a problem doing that depending on her personality but she might be able to get that out without him talking her out of it. I wish her luck with it all.

Wow! Don't you hate it when great guys use their charm to delay the inevitable?
I'm afraid no one can control it for her. All that would do is build resentment toward the person who interfered. The only thing I can think of is this guy is possessive. I would probably start taking the girl out on "Girls Night Out" during times they would normally spend together. Try to pull her away slowly. When he starts showing his possessiveness she should get more turned off. That should give her the strength to get rid of him.
Once she has the strength, she should just say, "I think we need space". Clearly state that he should not call her or come near her for a while. Once she says that, he is obliged to stay away.
If he doesn't she has a legal problem on her hands.
good luck!

Tell her what you see her boyfriend doing to her. Tell her that it concerns you that she doesn't have the courage to end a bad relationship. Tell her how he is manipulating her. Then ask her how long she plans on being used by this creep.

First, she should really sit down and think about what she wants to do. Does she love him too much to leave, or is the spark gone. The she can just simply say its over and if she is positive, then he wont be able to talk her out of it. She has to be really sure though, or he will continue to manipulate her.

If she knows she is in an unhappy relationship, she has to decide herself to stop seeing this man. You can try to introduce to her a few good boys you know.

You can't. The only thing you can do is stay by her side and give her advise when she is unhappy. Maybe she will finely see what a jerk he is when she is ready.
