I lift wieghts and my friend told me that soda afects muscle growth is this true?

The sugar can be a problem. Your muscles need proteins to rebuild after a work out. If the sugar composes a large portion of your diet, you are not getting the proper balance to rebuild your body.

The amount of weight you lift - the amount of protein and total calories you eat are factors in muscle growth

Soda will not affect your muscle growth

No...The only ingredients in soda are sugar and carbon dioxide with artificial colorings...

That is not tru...... but soda is not good for you... i don't like it so i would'nt know but don't believe everything people say.

No not true at all!!!!, actually it's good after cardio, sometimes. All that might affect is your abs....that's it.
