*Anything* shown on an LCD TV (or a regular TV for that matter) that displays the exact same unmoving screen image for hours at a time can cause "burn-in," where part of what's shown will leave a kind of ghost image on the screen even when it's not being shown. The logos for game systems can do that, although most of them now have animated logos to prevent it. Although if you leave some particular games at their startup screen for hours at a time, they can do damage.
Otherwise -- no, they don't.

May cause permanent/temporary image sticking on LCD screen if your game displays a same scene or same text more than 10 hours.

This may be cured if the image sticking time is short (depends on panel specs and manufacturer) by applying a white pattern for 10 or more hours

Hi. The burn in that was common to CRT type monitors and TVs was caused by the phosphors wearing out from having the same image on for hours. LCDs do not work the same way, so no.

Video games at one time caused screen-burn into plasma tv's but not LCD's. remember most computer screens work on the LCD principle also.

No it's all a myth. I remember when I was little people used to say that video games messed up the tv and the colors but i think it's just a myth.

I think that they could, but you can turn on an option, for the Wii at least, called screen burn in so it doesn't burn the screen or something.
