We received a gift of a free dinner at a very expensive restaurant, Morton's Steakhouse, from someone we never met. My new husbands brother in laws mother works for the owner of the restaurant and she set it up for us. I am trying to write the thank you card but am at a loss of words. I have, so far:
We wanted to thank you very much for our dinner at Morton's in San Diego. It was a great meal and a unique experience. You helped make our honeymoon a memorable time.
Please help me finish it.

Thank you for the gift we had a unique experience and great meal. It was a wonderful added touch to our honeymoon memories.

That's fine just like you have it. You don't have to go overboard. Just sending a card at all is more than most people would do.

Perhaps this can be the begining of a traditon having dinner at your wonderful establishment and re-live the experience, every year on our anniversary...So thanks again for your generosity.
