Extreme pain w/ dry socket: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dry_socket

It's probably too late for you to be getting a dry socket. It usually happens a couple of days after getting the tooth out.

Ear pain is common with a dry socket... If the pain persists see your doctor or take an Advil as directed.

Extreme pain, it is caused when you suck through a straw or smoke while healing, it causes you to lose the blood clot and will cause you terrible pain, and you would know if you had it, but just to be sure you should contact your dentist.

I am told that Dry Socket is the most intense excruciating dental pain imaginable. If you have it, you will know it.

I think just pain in your jaw and facial swelling. You may even run a temp.
