If you think giving a dog a bath will cause their milk to dry up, you are a total dimwit and should not be breeding Sea Monkeys..let alone dogs.
Use your brain cell!! Do you think nursing women go a year or so between showers????????

I assume by shower you mean bathing your dog. having raised dogs my entire life there isn't a problem with cleaning your breastfeeding dog. but be sure not to use any flea or tick killers on the dog as the poison will cover the nipples and the pups will then ingest the poison. just use a normal soap and try not to get it on the nipples as if you don't rinse it all off again it may be bad for the pups, and the soap could dry out the nipples and cause them to crack. If you do notice the nipples cracking get some bagbom (utter cream for cows) and moisturize them. as a mother who breast fed my child i can tell you her milk shouldn't dry up just from taking a bath.

The main way her milk will dry up, is if you wean the puppies (stop the puppies from nursing). I believe a bath would be alright, just don't put any shampoo on her belly and nipples, and make sure your rinse her belly really good. You don't want the puppies to ingest any left over shampoo residue from the bath.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aU7Wr
A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

Leave her alone until she's weaned her puppies!!! You can't force a mother to stay away from her puppies for the length of time needed to bath her and get her 100% dry! Since she is nursing, you obviously can't use shampoo on her either.

That is a very silly question. Most human mothers take showers and can still breast feed, what would make you think a dog or any other animal would be any different?

yes you can give a female nursing dog a bath!!!
IF YOU DID NOT KNOW THAT YOU CAN BATH A NURSING DOG THEN YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE BREEDING ANYTHING
i understand that this may be your first litter of puppies but you should have researched breeding with your breed of dog and you should be asking your vet these questions and not in here
Good Luck
