I heard that you cannot take antibiotics with a glass of milk, or any milk-related product, because the milk will destroy the antibiotic properties... Didn't find anything in google yet, and for me this sounds like a hoax...

I have never heard of not being able to take any milk products with antibiotics. In fact, some require you take a milk product when taking it so it does not upset your stomach. I think you are referring to grapefruit juice. That does not mix well with antibiotics, and I believe it because of the acidity content in the juice.

It looks like some antibiotics should not be taken with milk. It depends on which one you are taking. Go to the site listed below and scroll down to the section labeled - What should I watch out for?

You really need to Google the actual name of the drug you were given if you do not have the patient information pamphlet. It will help you find out what, if anything will react with your medication.

Yes, you can drink milk when taking antibiotics. Milk is mildly basic, and should have little if any effect on the efficacy of antibiotics.

There're a few where dairy interferes with the absorption. Fine with most, though. But, not a hoax... Google "tetracycline dairy."
