A stool can also appear green for physical reasons and not just because of what you ate. The bile that is secreted in the first part of the small intestine is actually green. As a stool passes through the large intestine it is turned into a darker brown color. If a stool is still green by the time it is excreted, it could mean that it passed through the large intestine too fast to be changed in color. This mostly occurs in cases of diarrhea, which can be an indication of other problems or lead to dehydration.
If you continue to have a green stool or have blood in your stool, chronic diarrhea or your bowel habits change in any other way then you should consult with a doctor. These could be signals of a more serious problem.

Green feces can also occur with diarrhea if bile salts pass through the intestine unchanged. Bile salts are substances that make up bile, which is a fluid produced by the liver that help digest fat. The liver is the largest organ in the body and is responsible for filtering (removing) harmful chemical substances, producing important chemicals for the body, and other important functions.

This may mean that you are high with CHLOROPLASTS. Do you know Kermit the frog, and other frogs for that matter, are green because they have a bunch of chloroplast and it make them green. You may have eaten or got a problem where your body is producing too much chloroplast. If this continues, i would see a doctor. This is a very serious matter for humans, frogs, that's another story. I hope this was the answer you were ooking for. Seriously, take this to the doc. if it continues. You can get very sick from this.

It's probably just a lot of bile in your feces; if you've eaten something really fatty, your body needs lots of bile to deal with it, so your feces may take on a greenish color.

Its due to bile...a substance released by the gall bladder to help emulsify the fat in your food when its in the stomach. If it only happens once in a while its alright....nothing to worry about. But if you find that the white of your eye or your skin turns yellowish, then its best to go to the doctor for a check up.
