Men often find shopping to be be torture. Men prefer to buy - they go in knowing what they want, get it, and then get the hell out. Shopping is going up and down a bunch of aisle saying "oh look." Most men would rather do weekends in jail than shop.

I would be very disappointed if I were you.I would get great joy buying gifts for my children especially if my husband wanted to do it together.It should be fun and a pleasure to go and buy the gifts together.It's a time of year families should do things as couples, Mom/daughter, father/son,father/daughter etc.
Try explaining that to him and let him know exactly how you feel.

Well...Maybe he wanted to get something for you too! Does he always leave you at home with the kids? Does he go out alone a lot? If not then I would say no. Let him go and maybe he will surprise you.
