I have a health question. I am just starting to get over a chest cold, and i have been coughing for the past 3 days. I have been smoking for 2 years, and just now i have smoked a cigarrete. But it feels like the first time i smoked, the wierd aftertaste, the wierd pain in my throught when i take a puff and the wierd dizzy feeling. So my question is, Can my body heal itself from the effects of smoking after i havent smoked in 3 days.

According to the Texas department of Health, your body begins to heal within minutes after smoking your last cigarette.
Twenty minutes after putting out your last cigarette, your blood pressure and pulse rate return to normal.
After just 24 hours, your chances of a heart attack decreases.
After the first week, you’ll start to breathe more easily and your sense of taste and smell will begin to return.
After the first year of not smoking, you will have decreased coughing, sinus congestion, fatigue and shortness of
breath.
And five years after your last cigarette, you risk of lung cancer is cut in half and your risk of stroke returns to nearly
the same levels of a person who has never smoked.

It doesn't. "When someone has nerve damage, the body can't repair it." That's not always true. "When someones has a damaged lung, why can't the body repair it?" Ever wonder why vital organs are usually placed in an area in the body full of bones and cartilage and muscle and other protective tissues? Hint: look up the word, "vital." "When someone has a degenerative eye disease, why can't the body correct it?" You know what degenerative means, right? So now it seems stupid to ask that question, doesn't it? "When someone has balding, why can't the body correct it?" Has balding? The reason is a chemical imbalance. Too much testosterone. It has absolutely nothing to do with the false hypothesis that the body can't repair itself.

The reason for feeling dizzy is that you are replacing oxygen with smoke. Your lungs are not healed from the chest cold/sore throat/ bronchitis that you had. It takes time to get over a virus and even if you feel better it doesn't mean you are healed.

Why do you want to go back to smoking??

Sure!! Depending on how many cigarettes you had smoked during the last 2 years, that is very possible. At this point, at a minimum, you are starting to be able to taste again. :)
