If under 10 years old, I would take it away. They are to young to be exposed to such rubbish. After age 10, I would talk to them about what they have read to make sure they realize it is rubbish. If they EVER became a delusional superstitionist, they would be excluded from the family as soon as the law would allow it.

I would leave it alone. I am not religious but I am a spiritual person and the 'new' testament especially the first 5 books are really great and give a real presentation of who jesus is and what it is REALLY all about. I know in the 'old' testmnt I like the psalms and isaiah and some other stuff but the early stuff is ridiculous and I left that alone. I would make sure my kid had a 'user friendly' bible such as NIV but definitely not the KIng james fire and brimstone thing.

Don't take it away from him and don't make him feel embarrased about it.. for some reason kids find it embarrasing to be talked to spiritually about God. For a better answer, I would need to know your position on him reading the bible, Are you a christian? But for the most part let him make his own spiritual choices, Christianity is a great way to go.

I would be OK with my child reading the bible. If he or she is interested in it and wants to know more than so be it.

Allow my child to read it. I am Buddhist, but do not want my child to choose a religion until she is old enough to understand what she is reading or hearing. I don't mind if she is exposed to various religions .

Do you mean that you don't approve of it? If you don't..I suggest you let them know how you feel about that subject, but not in a way that you are pressuring them to do what you want. I believe it is best to let them decide for themselves what they want to believe in. If they receive too much pressure from different point of views, they may never be able to commit to any belief at all, which isn't a good way to live. I think its good to believe in something, no matter what.

Make sure it is the Tanakh----the Jewish Holy Scriptures. That is, unless he is old enough to understand there are many religions, and he should learn what they are about, in order to form a better opinion of each.
