Well, no matter where you go in Montana, you will have to transfer in a major city such as Denver, Salt Lake City or Minneapolis. The only major airlines that provide service to most parts of Montana are Delta, Northwest and United. If your going into Billings, you have a couple of more choices.

Either way, you are looking at 6 to 8 hours from leaving New York to arrival in Montana.
