I came upon this site about 2 weeks ago while seeking a serious answer to a serious concern. I was excited to see something like this as a resource. I asked my question & was amazed how quickly answers came in. There was only 1 answer out of many that I was able to identify as not a Christian & I thought wow, this is great!
Today has been my 1st chance to spend time looking around & I headed straight to this site as that is all I'm interested in. I was so very dismayed to discover a high volume of non-Christians responding to all of the questions & even saw a few yucky questions being asked. I found myself wondering why are all these Christian haters & Christ haters hanging out at this site? They are not interested in truth especially if it goes against what they want to believe. If I believe smoking is not bad for my lungs can I smoke without any consequences? It seems their only goal is to harrass & accuse us of doing exaclty what they are doing with tremendous hatred & anger!

They are searching for answers, because they are very unhappy with their empty lives. I know a lot of them have found Jesus Christ by coming here. Just keep feeding them the Word of God from the Holy Bible. Believe it or not it is getting through to them.

Atheists have a LACK of belief. And we would all believe in God if He was 100% indisputably and scientifically proven.
We ARE interested in the truth. So far... the idea of no god being out there is truth to us because the probability of a god existing is extremely low.

I'M here to answer questions and ask some. See... I don't say "I'm right! You're wrong!" I just say WHY I am an atheist and I show the ones who believe in misconceptions about atheism, Evolution and such why they shouldn't! (Ignorance really... a huge pet peeve of mine.)
BTW: Non-Christians aren't automatically atheists. There are thousands of other religions out there.
Also... this forum is not JUST for Christians. It's for all people who want to discuss religion.

This is not a Christian only site. This is a religion and spirituality site that is open to the public. Frankly, I see plenty of hate expressed by Christians on this site. And your truth is your truth not everybody elses. Obviously you have no respect for any views other than your own. And you call yourself a Christian?

Are you suggesting that the only people who are spiritual or religious are Christian? I am not a Christian, I do not hate Christ (or anyone else for that matter). But what you described, the hate and anger is very often aimed at my belief. I am Wiccan. I will NEVER "dis" you for what you believe. No self respecting Wiccan would. I can not speak for people from other religions (or non-religions). But personally I do not like that kind of attitude either. But if you are looking for tolerant, loving, understanding, non-judgmental, open minded people I am afraid you will not find many here. There are a few, but it seems to me that most would rather bash you and your beliefs than accept you. Now, I accept you. do you accept me?

Christianity is not the only religion and viewpoint. Why do you need to be so bigoted? I enjoy Jewish and Muslim answers, too. And, I --who am very religious, just not a Christian--love to see how bigoted and closed-minded so many Christians can be.
It'd be much easier to have an intelligent conversation with an Atheist or Agnostic than these closed minded Evangelicals. And, I think you are in this latter category.

Do you equate all non Christians as being Antichrist? Wow you are delusional. I am Wiccan, that is a religion also there is another part to this, it's called philosophy. Atheists philosophize
Please stop being such as bigot. . There is room for all religions and philosophies here. I suggest that you find a message board that is entirely Christian if you dont want answers from Non Christians.

Since you are only the 256th person who asks this today, I can understand how you must have missed the other similar questions.
I'm an Atheist, and I am here for many reasons.
1) I have a Christian girlfriend and I want to learn more about her religion.
2) I have lived all my life in Holland, an Atheist country. In Holland all sorts of things are allowed like gay marriage, abortion, euthasia. I see these things as basic human rights. At the same time I see that all these things are far from basic human rights in many other countries, under the pressure of the religious voice.
3) It is a proven fact that Atheist countries like Sweden, Norway, Holland, etc, etc have more human societies than a religious country like the USA. The Atheist countries have lower murder rates, up to 300% lower STD rates just to name a few.
4) Inspite of the fact that again yesterday 40,000 kids died of starvation and aids, people still claim that God heals diseases. They post video's online with all sorts of 'miracle healings' and claim that as proof of the existence of God. There will be people watching that nonsense and stop their medication. There will be people watching it, stopping their medication and therefore they will die. They will die because they saw this video and based on it they will make a wrong decision. The claim "God heals", kills people. It's as simple as that.
To put it short: It's needed to educate the religious people how bad religion is for this planet. I want a better planet for my future children. That's why I'm here.

Firstly you have to understand that your "truth" is not necessarily true. If you are religious and have faith then you do not need evidence or logic to believe. That is what faith is.
By the same token you must believe in other people's religions as it is based on the same faith. Obviously all religions cannot be correct and maybe none of them are. .
It is not wrong to question religious beliefs as long as it is done without hatred and anger.

People can be not Christians and still be spiritual or religious. Your ignorance on this matter is why you don't understand your own question.
I do apologize for the immature anti Christian comments, and hope you will join the fight for religious tolerance in consideration of all beliefs that are mocked on this site.
