Shetears uo the bulbs when we are gone. We normally leave her outside but if it rains or if it is wet, we let her go inside cause we don't want her in the mud. She is a boxer and is about 1 and a half. She is a very hyper dog and likes to jump and chews on everything. I'm also scared of the presents we put out because I don't want her to tear the paper off or tear up the bow. We can't crate her because she is too big and I think it is cruel to crate a dog for that long. We take her to pet smart for day care every Thursday because we have people do yard work every Thursday. She seems to like going. But it is $20.00 per day and if you want to give them a bath it is about $20.00 more. And she hates baths so we can't give her one. I hope I gave you enough info to help me with my problem. PLEASE GIVE ME SOME IDEAS!

Were not home when she chews the bulbs. She does it when were at work or doing something out.

She is really big and she can probably jump up and reach the bulbs if their up high. We tried spraying water in her face for other chewing problems and she just tries to eat the water.

Well there's a middle-ground to crating her. Just put her in a bedroom and close the door. Of course, put her food dish and toys in there with her. As for the gifts, you don't want to take the chance that she'll tear them up after you've worked so long to wrap them, so don't put them out until Christmas morning if possible.

Use a spray bottle filled with ammonia and water. 1 part ammonia and 1.5 parts water.

Spray it where you don't want her to go.
The smell makes dogs and other animals stay away.

our dogs did that too, but what we did is went to petsmart (or petco) and bought a ""no chew" spraw and sprayed our tree with it. Its not harmful...all it is is sour taste which dogs dont like. Hope i helped!! and Happy Holidays!

it is fair game for the animal if you have the balls low enough for them to get then there is nothing you can do about it
