Now... I don't believe in "sin" or about homosexuality being unnatural, wrong, etc.

I'm just curious. According to the Bible and whatnot... is the STATE of being homosexual a sin or the ACT of homosexuality?

... and what about bisexuality?

Here is what the Bible says:

Lev 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood [shall be] upon them.

"Now... I don't believe in "sin" or about homosexuality being unnatural, wrong, etc."

Oh, well, that's good.

"I'm just curious. According to the Bible and whatnot... is the STATE of being homosexual a sin or the ACT of homosexuality?"

Actually, I think that the verses used to condemn homosexuality are mistranslated.

"... and what about bisexuality?"

Same thing.

Hermaphrodites are an exception to the rule.there is an obtrusive distinction and that they are relatively the way God made them. all the comparable rules nonetheless word nonetheless, at the same time with no longer having premarital or extramarital intercourse. they only have one greater option to make. we've a family members buddy who has this condition. someone with the two are frequently greater one intercourse than the different so the alternative is possibly no longer a hard one. i've got faith the suitable element is to permit the youngster exchange into adulthood and it will understand which intercourse it maximum identifies with, then they might choose for to be whichever intercourse they perceive with. i do no longer think of a determine or dr. ought to ever make that selection for a small infant or infant.God bless!! I ought to assert to uncannydanny, in spite of the reality that i understand you mean nicely...it quite is not a sin to be a hermaphrodite. in basic terms to have intercourse outdoors of marriage. Being born with the two intercourse organs should not be a sin. particular we are all sinners yet that may not sin. Respectfully.Bert i might opt to assert to Skippy, it relatively is the furthest element from the reality. We had a hermaphrodite stay with us for many months and have been very respectful. I do have faith you're very disrespectful to fundamentalist nonetheless. i'm not sure why. possibly somebody wasn't amazing to you or something. yet my Christian pals are respectful people.

Simple put; The actions that we do that are consider sin, is in reality, is the "fruits" of the sinfull nature. That's the reason we are "all" sinners, whether we are "saved" or "unsave" we are all sinners.

Other words; It is man that puts "degrees" on sin! The things we do are the "fruits" of our sinfull nature.

That's why Jesus said; By their "fruits" ye shall know who is a follower of him, and who isnt. A good tree 'cannot" tree forth evil fruit. And neither can an evil tree bring forth good fruit.

As for Homosexual, and Bisexuality see Romans 1:21-32, and pay close attention to verse 26 and 27.

It would depend on what denomination of Christianity an individual is practicing. Roman Catholicism teaches that only homosexual acts are sins. Most of Fundamentalist Christianity holds that even the orientation itself is sinful. The Bible (Christianity's authoritative guidebook, you could say) only specifies homosexual actions in relation to sin. You could argue that the Bible's authors didn't understand the concept of orientation, and viewed the small minority of homosexuals as being sinful.

Music girl isn't exactly right, sexual attraction isn't lust. If it were, then being sexually attracted to your spouse would be adultery (Jesus said that lusting after someone was committing adultery in your heart) Lust is selfish desire, so you can be sexually attracted to your spouse in a way that isn't lustful.

As for your question, being attracted to the same sex is temptation, and even Jesus was tempted. However, indulging in homosexual thoughts or acting on that attraction is sinful. Homosexual behavior is against God's design for sex and marriage.

Ppl have tried to argue that we've misinterpreted the verses pertaining to homosexuality, but this isn't true. God is clear that His design for sex is to be between a man and a woman in marriage.

in the days of the bible the idea that a man would have sex with a man was seen as a straight man having sex with a straight man. the concept of homosexuality was discovered in the 19th century. before that it was "unnatural" and merely two guys succumbing to lust, aka wanting simply to have an orgasm. so the act is what is called into question, not the state of mind or being.

Judeo-Christian tradition has taught for thousands of years that it is God's will that:
+ Single people should be celibate.
+ Married people should be faithful to each other (adultery is wrong).

The Catholic Church recognizes the power of sex when it teaches, "Sexuality affects all aspects of the human person in the unity of his body and soul."

Chastity means the successful integration of sexuality within the person. A chaste person's body and spirit lives in unity and opposes any behavior that would impair that unity.

The Catholic Church believes there is nothing sinful about being homosexual. But homosexuals like all unmarried people are called to celibacy.

The Church specifically says that homosexuals "must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided."

With love in Christ.

The desire of a man for a man or a woman for a woman is a temptation, the act is the sin (although if you indulge your self in the thoughts that can become sin).

The first chapter of the Book of Romans is pretty explicit. The Act is the thing that will get your tail kicked.

Please consider your life from here on in, eternity is waiting for you but Jesus loves you to much to let you indulge in that activity
