It will be fine, I have forgotten to add the vanilla to fudge among other things as well. The vanilla just adds a deeper taste to things( if that makes since) like fudge. Some things you HAVE to have the vanilla, but not fudge.

It should be fine, it won't really effect how it sets-up, the vanilla is there to enhance the other flavors already present in the fudge (chocolate, nuts or other add ins).

It wont be vanilla flavoured fudge is all, it will be, whatever the next strongest ingredient added was, in flavour

vanilla is a catylist, it helps the sugar melt and mix with the remaining ingredients and not remain gritty like sand when you eat it
