A package was mailed out to me on Monday morning December 18th UPSP priority mail, which is supposed to come within 2-3 days! I still have not gotten it and it has been five days. Can packages be delayed a few days even though it's priority mail?

Yes they get delayed big time at Christmas because of so many being mail at this time of the year and with the weather being so bad in some states air travel being canceled that means the mail is delayed even more, if it happens to be going by air.
It's always best to try to get packages mailed off at the first of the month, at the latest the 10 of the month to make sure they make it on time.

Yes! Packages and mail can get delayed by up to a week depending on where it came from and where it's going. There is a steady decline in the timeliness of the USPS including the fact that Priority mail just means paying more than getting it faster. I too am waiting for my new Speedos I bought and had I known that 2-4 day was Priority, I would had paid more for next day.

If it went Priority they should be able to track it for you. Yes, they do get lost. Our Grandaughter hasn't received her package while the other one did. Mailed at the same time. Good luck.
