what if your definition of God is too simplistic? You can define God in many ways. God can be a concious entity, or simply infinite wisdom....and when you reach this infinite wisdom...YOU become God, as anybody else can that reaches such wisdom...

Maybe heaven is a self-contained system where your concious identity becomes static...and it floats into the 'infinite wisdom'....

which would mean understanding is God.

There are many interpretations that would fit perfectly well into the bible .

For example: agnostics.

Agnostics think its just as equally probable that god can or cannot exist..

But what God are you referring to? If you define God in certain ways you can be certain of his existance....

maybe we are all talking about different things thinking its the same?

eledad...

because atheists explain the existance of universe through big bang and evolution...

but how can they explain the whole process? unless they have faith, just like christians...that some sort of process proves that there is no God, and that it was just a cosmic force or something..

That takes just as much faith, as the christian.

The agnostic does not know whether to beleive or not because he beleives it cannot be proven...but what is the agnostic reffering to? the god of the christians? There is no point of reference.

if its the God of the christians...its too simplistic...its too close minded....referring only to a discussion about faith...

if you are to look at it from a purely logical process...

How much more probable is it that it was just evolution or the big bang (which does not explain creation) to a God?

Its the same thing logically....

fireball2, maybe you become God when you die, because you attain infinite wisdom?

we all become God...we are all God....but we all become one when we die when we attain infinite wisdom,...in the seconds that become eternity just before you die.

Once you die, your identity is part of the concious entity, and as you grow in wisdom exponentially, you attain his identity by understanding everything...see?

knowledge defines power....God is more powerful because he knows how to create....if you could understand all the ways of God...you become God..

this doesn't mean you challenge God...simply means you become HIM

we all do...one identity. This is one interpretation.

Only man can read such philosophical rubbish into beautifuly simple systems.

Man created god in his image, because he was a little lonley and insecure, then he decides to write the story that it was god who made us in his image, so he is modeled on a god, that makes him feel much better....

Why do folks like yourself - waste so much time trying to fit all kinds of silly explinations within the frame work of this one over-edited book, to try and explain away its contradictions with reality.

Instead, actually read it, its a good guide book, or stop reading it and look at all the wonders around you. If you believe that they are god's work, fine, If you are a little more curious, and actually study them, insted of that silly book, you may learn more about God, than just the order and precise spelling of the KJV printed text.

once I say i'm an atheist, it quite is not through fact i dont have faith in God, as you reported that God could have many diverse meanings, it potential that i do no longer stick to a faith, in case you destroy down the word atheism, a potential without, and theism potential faith, for this reason, without faith. So, in case you're saying evolution is God, i'm no longer saying i dont belive in God, basically the non secular factors of view of God. and that i do no longer think of that the vast bang got here from nowhere, i think of that there replaced right into a focussed factor that held outstanding quantities of potential, then it, for loss of a greater suitable term, exploded and its mass unfold throughout time, no as to the place that factor got here from, I have not have been given any thought, i think of that it quite is all fairly complicated and it ought to take thousands or maybe thousands of years in the past we decide the way all of it got here approximately

I am of the opinion that the finite mind cannot grasp the true concept of god, no matter how devoted a person is. I have a feeling that our minds can't really handle the scale of that kind of information, and would cause a person to go insane.

Atheists don't need to give a definition for a non-existent thing.

There are atheists to flying purple unicorns sitting on people's heads... should we define those unicorns?

Sort of like the AA interpretation of a higher power for atheists - "the group collective conscience"

If they are to simplistic that is fine. We are human and not at that level and the understanding of god needs to fit our evolution of understanding. In short we are at the level of understanding that fits us for this time.

We are all already god. Life is only a dream in which the eternal sub conscious dreams itself again and again. Therefore of my reality I'm god.. and none of you really exist. Thank you for playing.
