Apparently, every Christmas day, there are people admitted to emergency rooms and an abnormal amount of domestic abuse calls because people flip out and hurt themselves or somebody else trying to get kids toys out of the packages fast enough...
Kids today are so spoiled and expect such instant gratification that they rip the wrapping off the package and can't be bothered with all the twist ties, or assembling things, or inserting batteries, etc., so Mom or Dad have to do it and they are already stressed beyond belief just getting Christmas together to begin with....
They just lose it, or end up cutting off a finger or poking themself in the eye....
Am I the only one who finds this a little too much?

I also find it funny how people all of a sudden change (get sweet and nicer) around Christmas....But I am stubborn so I pay no mind to them.. The greedy, selfish, and spoiled really shines through dont it ?? Why people want to go through so much stress and financial dept is beyond me. I am not a scrooge but I get so tired of hearing people complain about going in dept with credit cards for Christmas.. HELLO !!!! if ya don't have it then don't try to spend it... Anyway in my case. none of that around here... Having 2 nice days off, no gifts..just a nice home cooked meal... Merry Christmas to you......

I agree. Everyone says that this season is about the season of giving, I took a look at our christmas list and it's a little outrageous. I'm looking forward to receiving this year.

You are right; it has become insane. People who aren't even Christians celebrate Christmas, which is just as well considering December 25 isn't even close to when historians estimate Christ's birth to have been. Christmas is no longer about Jesus Christ; it is about who is getting what for whom, money money money, stuff, stuff, stuff, being rude to other people and cramming ourselves into malls to buy more sh!t we don't need or even want. Tsk tsk
