maybe you have something worse than the cold. if your dads a docter, tell him how concerened you are about your health and you want some answers! plus, if you are taking over the counter drugs for your cold, that is probably the worst thing you can do. go to a natural docter.

ussually a "cold" that lasts longer than afew weeks is NOT a cold. it usually ends up being sinus or allergy problems. Not trying to say nuthin bout your dad cause hes probably a good dr but maybe you need to see an ear nose and thoat dr (ENT). Good Luck feelin better.
oh and it may help to have a cool mist humidifier in your room at night if you got heat on

About 7 days is a normal cold.
Mine last about 5.

If you've been overusing antibiotics, this could be the reason you're not responding well to any stronger meds your dad's given you, if he has.

you may have reinfected yourself with another cold, or you just have left over bronchitis which can last for a while b/c your lungs were weekened by a cold. Try sleeping with a humidifier.

AFTER SEVEN DAYS YOUR SYSTEM SHOULD BE MAKING ANTIBODIES TO COMBAT YOUR VIRUS THAT YOU HAVE. IF YOU DON'T FEEL BETTER IN ABOUT THE TENTH DAY, TALK TO YOUR FATHER.
