it appears that what was thought to only be my sinus's is now a ear, throat, sinus and tooth infection. my face is quite swollen on te right side (enough that my eye is shut and black and blue) and its quite horrible. I am in a lot of pain and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions other then a warm water bottle for pain? my dentist (dispite the bubble of infection that has formed on my gums of upper molars/wisdom tooth) wont see me untill the infection is taken care of. I am extremely miserable and this isnt how i want to spend the holidays. any adivice will be greatly appreciated.

See a doctor now. You may have a major infection that required medical attention.

Hot water is not going to help anything.

If you have an actual infection you need to take antibiotics to make it go away. Get to a doctor right away because an infection is serious. Lots of times a tooth will hurt because the sinus nerves are connected to the jaw/mouth. Sometimes the tooth pain is just sinus pain that "radiates" to another area, like your tooth, when really there isn't anything wrong with your tooth. But if your dentist sees something wrong and advises that the infection be taken care of go to a doctor.

Take some tylenol or other pain reliever. I had that problem a couple of weeks ago and my toothache went away after I took some Motrin.
