This sounds like a geometry question. The answer is 15. This is how it works:
If the 9-ft pole casts a 15-ft shadow, that means that the shadow is 15/9 or 5/3 as long as the pole itself. (Geometrically, this means that the sun is 30 degrees above the horizon - you'll see this is a 3-4-5 triangle). If you use geometric proportions, then you see that the shadow of the tree is 5/3 as long as the tree itself. Which means that the tree itself is 25 * 3/5 or 15 feet long.
