If you are shipping out of state, and if you have no physical office presence in that state, you are not required to collect tax from that state. Your only obligation is to collect sales tax from sales made in the state in which your business is located.

Is this other state a state that you normally have some sort of presence? If so, then you need to be registered with that state to collect their sales taxes for all sales made to that state.

However, if you are just shipping an item using a common carrier (USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL for example) then you are not required to collect sales tax.

If you feel that you still need to collect another state's sales tax, then do an internet search with this: (name of state) sales tax or (name of state) department of revenue. This should point you in the right direction.

Just curious, is there abusiness reason that you need to collect this state's sales tax? For example, is your customer requiring you to be registered in all states that they plan on doing business so they don't have pay use tax later? If so, just remember, once you voluntarily register to collect sales tax in any state, you are required to collect sales tax on all taxable sales in that state because you voluntarily registered.

you have a nexus in 2 states -- MD and IN -- so those are the only states' sales taxes which you carry mutually. You carry mutually MD sales taxes on all products extra to shoppers in MD and IN sales taxes on all products extra to shoppers in IN. you do no longer carry mutually sales taxes from any shoppers placed in the different state. As a ordinary rule, you carry mutually community decision sales taxes based upon the delivery handle of the shopper.

If you don't know what percent to charge for gross receipts tax, call someone at city hall. If you're not paying gross receipts tax, you can't collect it from a customer.
