Hmmmmm..... let's see......
MSG
Transfatty acids
batter
lard
sugar
grease.
All of that sh!t is going to weigh you down after you pig out. And when you eat Chinese food, it's not just General Tso's chicken. It's the order of crab rangoon, the fried rice with all that salty soy sauce on it, the sweet and sour sauce for your crab rangoons and then a deep fried pork filled eggroll on top of that. Man, that would make anyone tired.

I don't think it is msg, because not a lot of Chinese restaurants use it anymore. I think it is a carbohydrate over-dose, because that is what happens to me. I eat a lot of lo-mein and rice when I go out for Chinese.

Probably the MSG. It actually makes me dizzy and light headed.
Or, if you really really love chinese you could be releasing endorphins (the body's own morphine) as you eat.

You are more than likely eating to much. When you eat a large meal your body has to divert energy to digest. So you get sleepy.

I often wondered the same thing because I too feel tired after eating it..........I figured it must be some herb or seasoning that they use but it's just a guess.
