I am ashamed to admit I have a husband who would beat the dog under the bed if we were attacked.

Well, lots of people would join him and have already joined him by failing to exercise their constitutional and legal rights. I think we should all question what we are willing to do for our country. I doubt that I would work hard to protect someone who wasn't willing to help himself. However, I would stand with all those who are willing and able to fight for our country and I would definitely protect the sick and helpless. Start by getting out and voting and making your government accountable. Don't take no or maybe for an answer from the government. Once they have to do their job, ours will be easier and it will be easy to decide that the country is worth fighting for.

I am looking out for my family and friends, neighbors, first.
After that, I would beat your dog and husband for a safe under-the-bed hiding place.

"Voilá! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is it vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose so let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V."

I belive in no one except myself(parents doesn't treat me nice).
Go give it to the animal shelter(not the pound, the shelter) it's for you and your dog to stay happy.
Your husband can go to jail for animal cruelty.
If anyone heard your dog yelp and got worried and reported, the police will come to your house to check out how your pet is doing.
How it reacts to people.

I have no fear. I would fight till death for my country. I have been faced with fights before, ~had my butt whooped a time or two, learned from it, got stronger and smarter~ and I never have and never will 'back down'. There's never been a coward in my family and it won't start with me or mine. We are physically, mentally and emotionally strong. No mercy to those who intend harm to us. I don't go looking for trouble, but I WILL avert it, give it back tenfold if necessary.

I am willing to fight for my country but don't ask me to invade other people's countries and kill innocent women and children for the military industrial complex and call it patriotism.
