+ It would be difficult for me to go to Mecca or Medina. I just don't think I would fit in.
I have been to Rihad.

I have been living in Saudi Arabia for 4 years. I really like it here it's of course diffrent than america. I love both Mecca and Madina it's amazing because they both have very diffrent feelings... Mecca always feels alive and awake full of pilgrims and noise (in a good way) Whereas Medina is a quiet peaceful city sure there are lots of pilgrims but it have a more layed back relaxed feeling to it . It feels like time doesn't move in Madina.

Hello,

I am a Saudi but these 2 holy cities are different from other Saudi Cities from the sense that they are very cosmopolitan and spiritual. You should go there if you are a Muslim. Any way if you are a Muslim and you are able financially and you are in a good health, then visiting Makkah to perform Hajj is one of the 5 pillars of Islam.

not me, but my mother and some friends for the holly season of hajj
it's an amaizing feeling to be there, if u r muslim of course, u feel that u don't want to leave the place, especially al madina, nice poeple,
also u feel that u are at the places often described in the holly book of cora and the "hadith", it's a blessed place..
when i watch it on tv i feel so attached even if i have never been to there, but it's a magic feeling, so i can imagine how would be the feeling once there!!!!!
as a travel agent, i send groups to there every year, for hajj and omra, and they say all the same thing: "i want to come back next year!!!"

I haven't but my husband is a Saudi citizen and unless your Muslim you can't enter into those two holy citites anyway. But I've watched a video about Mecca and it seems really cool. We plan on going back in a year.

I am in SaudiArabia.. (half saudi, half american).. If you ever got the chance to visit those cities as well as Jeddah (one of the oldest cities).. You'll find such a variety of people.. You'll be amazed as all the colors and races and cultures coming together united in one religion.. Some muslims as white as any European blue eyed, blonde hair. vs the darkest person from Africa... Its amazing and humbling also... All languages, all cultures united in one belief..
