First of all -- if it is an INDOORS Graduation Ceremony -- the ONLY animals allowed will be the Service Animals (those that help people with disabilities).

Secondly -- even in OUTDOOR Graduation Ceremonies -- there are limits to what is acceptable and what is not -- there are folks attending that have allergies .. including allergies to dog dander --

IF in doubt and the Ceremony is outdoors -- the CALL and ASK at the location if your pet can be brought along. OTHERWISE ...

Plan on leaving the Puppy at HOME!

My question to you is, if you could really take him to the graduation ceremony with all parties even in agreement with you to do so.

Truly,

...Unless this is the first time you have ever ventured out on your own into the world of our American society. Did you take notice of what was going on around you? Well, did you?

...if you have ever attended a graduation ceremony before, ...tell all of us who are following this,

did you really see other little puppies there who others like yourself also brought to that ceremony? If you did, or if you didn't, ...WOULDN"T THAT BE YOUR CLUE
that hopefully would impeed you from asking such a question that you should have been able to answer for yourself...ummm, maybe not?

My best to you in your decision...with its pending results.

NO! I 've graduated 2x. Once was my bachelors in social work, and the last was my masters in social work, both occured in the same calandar year. I would've been profoundly disapointed had ANYONE brought thier doggie to either ceremony. I worked very hard to earn my degree, and though I love animals, it would have been crude and insulting if there was a puppy present. It is not only distracting, it is a disrespectful gesture.

I really love my dogs and I wish I could take them with me everywhere but I can't. You need to think about the puppy. A graduation is bound to be kind of crowded and noisey. The puppy might be frightened. Leave him home.

In general, it's not acceptable to take animals into public places unless they are service animals. A puppy could run around and cause trouble, urinate on the floor, make noise, cause allergic reactions, and so forth. It's best to keep the puppy at home.

This is why people hate dog-people.
Here's a head's up, it's also not ok to bring your dog to other people's houses, especially when they barely know you and have cats. Yes, even if you do ask first. And when they say, "no," pouting and throwing a fit is also not acceptable.

Sure. You have my permission. What's your puppy friend graduating from, anyway?

please leave your sweet little puppy home
you will be doing your puppy a favor, along with everyone else, just in case he gets excited and wants to play or jump and run around.
