This question is tricky because its hard to know his intentions, he either regrets his decision and wants to go back to you or still has feelings for you.

Or he just wants to be friends instead of never seeing eachother again, after all you used to be together. Or if he is that type of guy he could just want a booty call in which case you should just ignore him.

But I would at least hear him out to see what he wants, but if you dont feel ready just tell him that and ask for him to wait until you call him when you are ready.
I hope you can fix this, its never a good feeling to remove someone you love from your life entirely

Some guys want to hang on to old relationships even if they are currently involved with someone else. Actually this goes both ways--girls do it too. Sometimes it's an ego boost if the ex responds to the calls, sometimes it's genuinely because the caller misses their ex. If you aren't over him, I'd say ignore them until you are ready to be friends. I'm kind of in the same situation right now, and I can't seem to ignore my ex. However, everytime we talk, one of us ends up upset---lately it's been me. I still love him as well, so I know how you feel. It IS hard to force yourself to look at someone you love like just one of your buddies. Get through the grieving process, and if he still wants to be your friend, go for it. Good luck.

Continue to ignoring him. he left u and the chances of him leaving u with a broken heart again is very high. Move on in Ur life and find happiness else where. You deserve better.

he's probably calling because him and his new gf broke up or he doesnt like her as much as he liked you and he just figured it out..well one day pick up the phone and see what he wants...if he wants to get back together ask about his current gf and why you should give him a chance and make him realize your not showering him in anything until you get his trust back .....or maybe he's inviting you to something.....pick up the phone next time :)

I'd just tell him that you're not ready to talk quite yet, that you'd love to be friends with him but you need a little more time.
