I just got home and my mom just ordered chinese! It smells good but i am trying to stay heallthy! What do i eat instead of chinese!??

hahaha i do not think it matters if i splurge tonight after all the calories i probably just burned from laughing at the guy who said the fats will eat the anorexics VVVVVV hahaha

if all else fails, eat some couch (ew!) - low in salt!

You're correct. Chinese food is very unhealthy besides the myth that it is. It is loaded in bad fats and high in calories.

While diet is 70 percent of our total fitness, the other 30 percent is made up of exercise. So, consider the quantity of food you eat and calculate calories in versus calories out. If you consume more than you spend, then you will gain fat so you need to watch what you eat and exercise too.

So, I think you're safe eating any food as long as you watch how many calories you consume and you eat a varied diet.

The reason people believe the Chinese aren't fat is because they exercise by walking everywhere. I lived in China for three years. But you'll notice the wastelines in China are rapidly growing because they're not exercising like they used to as they become more developed and drive or partake of moder conveniences -- a testament that Chinese food is not anymore healthier than other foods. Unfortunately, they do not have the secret to good health or they wouldn't be gaining weight.

It's not the calories that are so bad, it's the MSG and excessive salt. MSG is terrible for you and the salt is what makes you feel so horribly bloated in the morning. When you order Chinese food, ask for no MSG. You can get a fairly healthy dish as long as it's not fried. When your mom gets a migraine later from teh MSG, tell her I told her so.

Just pick out the veggies. Stay away from the fried rice, egg rolls and chicken balls. Steam some white rice to eat with it.

Anything but chinese! But I love chinese. Make some brown rice and add your favorite veggies or noodles or something. And use chopsticks.

Chinese is generally one of the healthiest cuisines, they cook with lots of vegetables and rice and very little fat. Read the menu and order healthy food, there is plenty of it.
