I want to make him something special, something personal, something practical. Any ideas? He has pictures of us, and I don't have enough pictures yet of us to make a scrapbook. Maybe a message in a bottle, and a picture of him? Make him a trophy? I don't know. Please help me! Thank you!

Cornercut: Well, I suppose you're right...
I wanted to save that idea for when he goes away to college next August. Maybe a painted baseball bat?

BTW, that's also an incredibly materialistic view, my friend. But you have made a good point of stressing that it should be cool.

My aim was a bit more sentimental...

Well, Cornercut, you were right. It's only special if it's cool. :_ (

My answer: give him something sexy. He does not want a scrapbook!!!!! Give him a nerf gun that shoots a hundred nerf missles a second. Give him a DVD that involves war and explosions. Give him a new pair of sneakers. Buy him a cheap guitar and paint it yourself. Special is only good if it is cool.

Give him a DVD of a movie that he watches every time it comes on. Give him a massage! Give him something that he would buy for himself but doesn't buy because he doesn't want to spend the money.

My wife's suggestion: I don't know.

Paint him something. You can get small canvas at any hobby lobby or art supply. Add a more practical touch by color cordinating it to go with his current decor. Remember if you are going to paint something with a subject, make sure he is interested in it. You probably should steer clear of flowers. keep it abstract if you have the artistic ability of a small child. you can create a nice textured canvas by painting over a screen. Stenciling with spray paint is also fun and quick drying ;) good luck

OOOOO I KNOW THIS!
Ok, its cologne. REALLY GOOD, and not too expensive. Its called Farenheit (like the movie) . and it smells amazing. My g\f is getting it for me. I found a 1.7 ounce bottle at walmart for 31 dollars. Its amazing, so, get it. He'll love it
Ok, came up with something else... My friends g\f did this... Its when u make coupons of things like... 1 movie, u pick, I rent, or take u out... or dinner anywhere on me.... one free back and kneck massage... get out of a fight free card, where no matter what it is, i have to keep my mouth shut... things like that. its creative, and sentimental. make ur own. come up with some ideas! good luck!

You could use one picture of both you together and make a picture frame. Decorate it yourself and make it personal. If you have nicknames for each other you can put it on there as well. Any dates you've been on....like if you went to the beach....put some seashells on the frame. Whatever you make for him, i'm sure he'll love it! Merry Christmas! =)

Why dont u write a poem about him. It's not that hard, u just need a rhyming dictionary and a loving heart! But make sure guy give it to him in front of his boys. Peoms are like hugs from your mom. Much apperiated, just not in front of ton of people. And make sure not to make it to to mushy. that could creep him our. Good Luck!

a romantic dinner would do it for me definetly because its personal and made by my partner, I would want to be kept away from the kitchen and dinning area until it was on the table and ready to eat.....then blindfolded and taken in there, makes enough sense to me.......would make me melt for sure, just make sure you have candles.
