Be put in the Mythology& folk lore section?
since it is all a lie anyway, everyone knows that christianity is just a knockoff of Mithraism.
and in the time when "Jesus" come to the jews, the romans were their, the romans worshiped Mithra at that same time, so the Romans told the Jews about Mithra and the Jews gave it a little twist and BAM! Mithra a Persian god turned to Jesus a Jewish God.

I believe it would be insulting to put Christianity (or any other present-day religion) in the category of "mythology." One man's religion will always be another man's mythology, but I don't have the right to determine which is which for anyone except myself. We have many mythologies today - Star Wars, the Harry Potter series, etc. (George Lucas used a LOT of mythology in the creation of his Star Wars characters/saga - you might enjoy Joseph Campbell's books if you haven't already read them) - but if they gained status as religion for somebody, who am I to say they're wrong? As long as a belief system has present-day followers, I think it belongs in the category of religion; if there were followers of the Greek/Roman/Norse gods today, I'd say that THEY belonged in the category of religion, too. It is only "dead" religions - those without followers - that we consider to be mythology; until a religion ceases to be followed, it's not yet myth, especially when it forms the foundation for the ethical and moral behavior of its followers.

Good story, except Jesus was for told in the Torah. The Books of the Prophets, Daniel, Ezikel, Moses, Isiah and so forth.
Jesus was born of the conditions set forth by God.
He was born in the house of David, even the wise men knew of the prophocy.

This 'Christianity is based on Mithra' rumour has been going on too long. Please see here, you'll see that the rumours skeptics spread are nothing more than exaggerated tales designed to make Christianity look ridiculous.

Christianity is a religion so it is in the right section.
Whether it is true or not - I think not - is a different question.
As the saying goes, history is written by the winner.
As the other saying goes - Mithras who?

While I tend to agree with you, dont you think we should at least allow them to bury and mourn for their dead god before we just lump it into Mythology?? Be nice now....
