Please allow me to give you a metaphor to explain your question.

The sun of today is called Friday. The sun of yesterday was called Thursday and the sun of tomorrow will be called Saturday. Same sun different names.
Can we criticize the sun of yesterday for not shining any more? Of course not. It has been replaced by the sun of today.
What matters is the heat and light that the sun brings to the world, which are the cause of physical life. Not the different names by which we call it!
In the spiritual world Jesus was the sun of 2000 years ago. His teachings were the cause of life for mankind. If they are not followed any more is it His fault? Of course not.
Divine guidance is PROGRESSIVE and never ending. If it should stop it would be like the sun not giving light any more, all things would die.
In the Bible we find a succession of Divine Messengers like Abraham, Moses and Jesus all of them educating PROGRESSIVELY mankind as it grows.
If we look into the Old Testament, we see that the main characteristic of the 10 Commandments is " NO" or "Thou shall not". Isn't this the way we educate our children when they are small kids? We don't give them lengthy explanations -that they would probably not understand- about why they should not do the things that we tell them. So the word we most often use at that stage of their development is "NO" or "DON'T" do this or that. The same thing was true with mankind at that stage.
But that little boy grows up and when he is an adult he has a logical mind.
Now he needs to know WHY and he wants a LOGICAL and a RATIONAL and SCIENTIFIC answer to his questions.
Can we force him to still believe that stars are little lights that God lights up at night? No. He would laugh at us. But this same explanation was good for him in a previous stage of growth when we could still not talk to him about galaxies and solar systems.

This allows me to get to the final part of your question. Is Jesus limited in His speed of lighting the universe?
No, He is not, but mankind was limited in his capacity to understand Him when He came 2000 years ago. Mankind needs to be taught GRADUALLY. Just like a child has to go to primary school and then into high school and later to the university.

The speed of dark would exactly the same as the speed of light. I mean all it is, is the light travelling away from you. But, yes jesus is limited to the speed of light. Oh wait, jesus has no limitations because he's mythology. Long live X-mas.

As one monk noted, it only takes a single ray of light to wipe out the darkness, even if a cave has been closed for centuries. The darkness is stagnant. It is the force of light and love in life that creates and makes things happen. Light represents truth, which sets you free from oppressive forces otherwise more powerful.

If things had to be physically equal in life, there would be no justice. But a little bit of love can overcome tremendous fear and pain; the smallest spark of truth can overcome oppressive mass ignorance.

That is the grace in life, as proof there is a greater force in play. The good always outweighs the bad, because it takes only a little bit of goodness to tip the scales in favor of the positive.

There is a verse in the bible that says God is surrounded by darkness. Think about that. A vivid light completely encased in darkness. That darkness may be the fabric of the universe, think black holes. A phenomena which not even light can escape. Perhaps God has created these cosmic phenomena as a refuge for their self.

Light and darkness are relative.God is beyond all that. And so since the Universe goes on forever thats why it seems so dark.Since it has such distance.God is not in our Universe. Our Universe is temporary.

If God is the light-then why does there seem to be more darkness when we glance out into space? AHHHHH!?

Light is a form of ENERGY- it requires something SOLID to hit before it Fluoresces or Radiates.

RELAX- your brain is obviously immune!

Open your eyes the light is there. You were built with a flawed optical system. You can only detect the visible light spectrum as it is reflected to your flawed eye. Therefore space is dark because there is nothing to reflect the light spectrum to your flawed eye. When you are able to look into space and see God, He will reflect the visible light spectrum to your flawed eye and space will become light. This will not help a flawed brain.

God is not the physical light. It is simply a metaphor for what He is spiritually. Spiritually, He is the light for you to see His will and His way of living in harmony. By following Him, you in effect are "enlightened" in His ways.
And though God is not physically "light", He is much, much more powerful.
