A christian I know told me that he believes Heaven will be Earth once everything is said and done because to destroy Earth would be letting Satan win. I'm just wonder, what exactly do we do, wherever Heaven is? People say worship and be eternally happy. So do we just exist and be happy for eternity? Maybe God will decide to create another world and we'll be Angels in that one? What are your thoughts?

I think this earth will be our home. We will be like Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden. This whole earth will be a paradise. There will be no evil or sickness, or death. We will still have family and homes, one will not work while one does nothing. The bible is full of information of what the earth will be like after Satan's demise. God had a plan of Adam and Eve living in a paradise. His plans have not changed just because they messed up. God's intention was for mankind to live on earth, not in heaven. The kingdom Jesus preached about so much is earth. Satan is not going to win. God will. He is the same God now as he was in the beginning.

If you have a bible and you read the last book of the new testament it will tell you. But what will happen is God will defeat santan and once all the evil is gone the people who made it to heaven will come down to a land that God has promise for us which will be made out of gold and other jewls and we will all praise God for all he has done for us. But unfortanually for the people who didnt make it when God comes back the people in hell including satan himself will be thrown into the lake of fire. And it is not a stupid question and when yur in heaven u would not care or even notice that we are naked because adam and eve didnt know until they ate the fruit well hope that answers your question oh if you dont understand the what they are sayin in a bible you can always get a childrens bible it helps alot.

Heaven is just a word that symbolizes a place (?) where one's being continues after the death of the body. I don't think we can say it is a place because we cannot possibly understand what is beyond this existence. Talk of harps and singing and gatherings of the elect around a throne shows our desire to add something of earth to whatever heaven is. Best to just say we don't know.

There are some very interesting ideas about what comes after death, however, if you are interested in studying. The book (and movie), "What Dreams May Come," incorporated various of these ideas into one story. Studies of near death experiences or out of body experiences give some interesting ideas about the afterlife. I'm sure that if you look, you will find a number of sources that will help you understand either heaven or the futility of understanding heaven.

Actually, the bible does say that on the day of judgement, earth will become zion, paradise, etc, and the dead will be resurrected and judged. Heaven exists separately, and is intended for God, angels, and martyrs. Those few who are deemed unfit for paradise-their souls will be destroyed, and it will be as though they never existed.
Paradise was God's original intention for Adam and Eve. We have screwed it up since then with our free will and sin.
The bible is unclear about such physical things as our bodies, what earth will look like, etc, but what it does say is this.....
we will all be perfect, and there will be no pain, no sin, no aging, and no death in our new world.
I imagine that we will do whatever we want-how could it be paradise if we wouldn't?

That is an interesting question. Here is a little something you might
mull over.People are so ready to say things like oh!who would want
to live forever on earth?I would be bored to death, their would be nothing to do after awhile!Consider this;science has proven that
humans only use appox.1/10 of 1-percent of their brain capacity,
now considering that along with a perfect human body,no sickness,
no death, no accidents, and then an eternity to learn new things. Can
you start to see the possabilites? We (humans) have a life span of
70 or 80 yrs.how much can you accomplish? But an eternity!
That is the hope that all have if..John.17:3."This means everlasting life their taking in knowledge of you,the ONLY TRUE
God,and the one whom you sent forth,Jesus Christ."

Have you ever read the Bible? In the back in Revelations it talks about the end of time and coming of the Lord, In Heaven there is streets of gold and the Lake of Youth we will all be family and those that are crippled will be no more there is no crying, hunger,or worry we will be given a robe of life and this world will be left for the sinners who didn't except Christ in their hearts and to face Armageddon untill the end, kinda like the rainbow, it's Gods sign not to flood the earth again it's His promise, say's so in the BIBLE.

I'm not Christian, but I do believe in an afterlife (just not a heaven); as to what will happen there - I don't know. I think any kind of intelligent being would need something to occupy its mind - maybe that's why God created the universe, and people, and whatever other beings are in it (I'd hate to think that we were alone). Maybe we finish this "level" of life and move to another where we understand more; with an infinite universe, there are, after all, infinite possibilities :-)

From what I've heard, we'll sit around playing harps and backgammon all day, basking in the brilliance of His light till we are all tanned worse than if we'd gone to Hell. Even those who look forward to sitting in the glory of God, would get bored doing it for eternity. Heck, I can stare at a beautiful naked woman, but if that's all I could do, I'd toss her out after a few hours! Eternity? -For myself, I'm going to neither. I'll be born again after a rest in the Summerlands.

I believe that time is not an issue in Heaven, meaning there is noone clocking the minutes, days, and months, and years. I think we'll rejoice with our fellow Heavenites (redeemed for eternity), meet the saints, but most of all meet Jesus face to face. Worship the King of Kings. Wow - I can't wait.

For me heaven is existence, for me heaven is an opportunity to continue. I want to travel the universe. I want to see all of God's work. I want to know everything. I am not interested in playing a harp on a cloud for eternity.
