Because it is fun to argue your case. Wouldn't you hang out on a liberal forum if you were conservative, writing your opinion? I'm not atheist, but I don't have a religion. So I like to share my opinion, but I never put down anyone (not to my knowledge). So, anyway, happy holidays!

In order to truly learn about the world around you must leave your comfort zone. If you wish to hone your debating skills you need to go to a debate. Sort of like why a boxer has a sparring partner. There's no money on the line and no title to be claimed, so why does the boxer have sparring matches? Simple to hone his skills.

Also some atheists are merely pursuing the goal of making people think. A brain that is not exposed to any new thoughts is like a ship that never leaves the harbor. It's safe but that is not what a ship was designed to do. If people never sought out new knowledge we would still be living in caves.

Why are you so unaware of what an atheist is?! extra to the element in case you don't be attentive to what an atheist is why are you so illiberal, hate crammed, bigoted and persecuting in direction of them?! ATHEIST - somebody who does not have faith in a God – any God – no longer in basic terms the Christian one. yet that doesn't propose they do no longer carry sturdy ethical or non secular ideals! they'd shop on with any faith that doesn't have a god and there are various those! Like BUDDHISM – non secular coaching from Buddha and his followers that by ability of destroying greed, hatred and delusion (the reason at the back of all suffering) guy can attain appropriate enlightenment! Why so unaware of what reasons the backlash against christianity? all the different religions and atheists stay in peace and are in basic terms attacked by ability of undesirable christians which reasons all sturdy christians to melancholy on the wear and tear they do! Up until approximately 40 years back Christianity became thriving and there became no conflict with others yet in in basic terms those few short years the popular christians have become illiberal, hate crammed, bigoted and persecuting ensuing in a growing to be backlash against christianity and inflicting christianity to loose over ten % in decrease than a decade with the loss accelerating! The self destruction of Christianity is underway and the only element that would end this is to desert the poor human thoughts, seek for to rediscover the assumption of a loving god and act like it! Posts like yours that tension people extra suitable far flung from God are utilising you in direction of hell. So who're you working for the devil or the antichrist because of the fact it specific ain't the loving god!

As long as Christianity, as well as several of the other "ultimate truths", have as their end and gleefully sought after goal, the END OF THE WORLD, and as long as they believe that their rights are being violated if they are denied the opportunity to use the coercive power of the state to shove their god down every ones throat, you will have to put up with us being in your face. Why should we abandon a forum where we can let you know that you will not be allowed to carry out the silly "End Times" rubbish that you seem to forget would include the rest of us.

Atheism is a religion...a group of unbelievers...

The original Greek word for 'antichrist' can have two meanings. It can mean 'against Christ', in the sense of someone or some power who opposes the work of Christ. Or alternatively, the word can mean 'instead of Christ', signifying a person or power who 'takes the place of Christ', or is a 'counterfeit of Christ'.
There were many other antichrists already in existence during the era of the early church. The Bible explains in 1 John 2:19 & 26 “They (the antichrists) went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us… I am writing these things to you about those who are trying to lead you astray.” Thus, according to God's Word, the antichrists were counterfeit Christians who had split away from the body of true believers. They were deceivers who had not really experienced a genuine gospel conversion. They were liars who denied the Messiahship of Jesus; for the Bible declares in 1 John 2:22 “Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son.” In 2 John 1:7, God states “For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.” And in 1 John 4:1 NKJV, Scripture admonishes “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.”

No offense..I am taking this directly from Bible verses...
God says to love one another and I love & respect everyone...no matter what they believe or don't beleive..

Hello =)

Because:

Atheism is a valid religion.

If we don't look at these forums, you'll say nasty things about us behind our backs.....LOL

We are concerned about you, and care.

Many of us are Buddhists, which are a type of atheists, and we have opinions too.

We would like to prove to you that just because we don't believe in God, we have the right to have ridiculous opinions, just the same as you do.

Oh, I could just go on all day....

Happy Holidays, and Namaste,

--Tom

A forum is a place for discussion. Atheists have very strong opinions on the subject of religion. That's in fact what it MEANS to be an atheist. Where then would you expect to find an atheist wishing to discuss his or her viewpoint other than a forum concerning religion and spirituality? Automotive repair perhaps?

Honestly, I believe that Satan compells atheists to go here so they can criticize the Christians, scrutinize our answers, and see if we will go away.
The thing is, God is strong within His people, and we will not back down when challenged by Satan.
Satan thinks he can win. And by bringing the atheists into these forums to pick apart our beliefs, he thinks we will be discouraged. But I tell you now, I have my Bible beside me at all times on these forums, and I am always ready to quote God on anything. The truth is, it is Satan whispering his lies to us through atheists, lies like "Why should you bother?" and "There is no God." Satan is hoping we will believe these lies just as the atheists have. But, in responding to these questions, I find that my relationship with God grows stronger, not weaker, with their opposition, because I use everything I know to strand up for my beliefs, and I always manage to learn something new on the way.
As a Christian on these forums, you just have to make sure your roots are planted firmly in your beliefs and you recognize the Devil when you hear him. The Armor Of God is the best defense you can possibly have.

PS- Dear Satan,
GOD HAS ALREADY WON!!

Showing the religious types how stupid their adherence to an outdated book of bronze-age jewish mythology is the best way I know of to help them leave.
And given the number of emails I've received either asking for help leaving christianity and others thanking me for helping them out of it, I'm going to stay and continue.

Atheists may not be religious people, but many of us are still interested in religion. I know I am.
