The best would be all certified organic:

Chicken, turkey, buffalo, wild fish, grass fed beef, venison, ostrich, eggs--with the yolk, not just the whites, for protein. Occasionally some sheep or goat cheese.

Veggies: Broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, brussels sprouts, spinach, green/red swiss chard, kale, dandelion, romaine lettuce, red/green peppers, parsley, onions/scallions, carrots (in moderaton due to high fructose content), squash, cucumbers, olives, tomatoes/tomato sauce, sweet potato/yams

Fruit: (in moderation--perhaps 2 pieces a day, either after a meal or with a snack. This will help keep your blood sugar more stable as opposed to consuming the fruit by itself.) Kiwi, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, pomegranate, papaya, pears, citrus fruits, bananas, apples, goji berries (from the Himalayas), melons, pineapple, coconut, mango

Snacks: sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds (raw is best, however you can toast them in the oven and sprinkle with some spices); raw nuts: walnuts, macadamia, pitaschio, cashews, brazil nuts, almonds.

Cookies: preferably fruit juice sweetened and for many people wheat, gluten, sugar, honey and dairy free brands

Herbs/Spices: Again, organic and non-irradiated--Many to choose from--oregano, thyme, rosemary, dill, tarragon, majoram, cumin, coriander, nutmeg, cinnamon, cardamon, curry, garlic, ginger, mustard, "Herbs de Provence", paprika, chile peppers, fennel seed, a good Celtic sea salt

To Drink: High quality spring water, herbal teas, unsweetened cocoa (you can make hot chocolate and sweeten with stevia--use sparingly--you'll only need a pinch--available in health food market)

Extras: Not foods but essential for excellent health--plenty of fresh air and sunshine (for your body to produce adequate amounts of crucial vitamin D--you do not have to bake on the beach in the sun--that is NOT healthy). Throw in some enjoyable exercise and socialize with genuinely happy, positive people.

HAPPY EATING!!

everything in moderation is healthy.
I love carrots, celery, fresh tomatoes with basil and mozzarella, fresh peaches, dried apricots, oatmeal with walnuts, all kinds of berries, grilled salmon served with boiled potatoes, apples stuffed with honey walnuts and rice if I want something sweet ,fresh apples, cucumber and yogurt sauce, fresh homemade pizza (you can even put cheese on it, it's still healthy as long as you control the fat), hot homemade cocoa and dark chocolate...the list goes on and on.
Actually, once I switched to eating non-processed foods, I found out that healthy food tastes a lot better than candy, McDonald's or Hot Pockets. I cannot eat stuff like that anymore

Fresh citrus fruits have whopping amounts of vitamin C.

Eggs and low-fat chicken breast have great protein.

Fish is brain food.

1% milk makes your body happy.

And last but not least, dark chocolate in small doses does wonders.
