How many cups will i get out of one pound of pecans (no shells)? I am making one recipe that needs 2.5 cups and one that needs .5 cups so do you think i need more and if so how much. I can get additional half pound bags.

I happen to have a bag in my kitchen. 1 lb is 3 3/4 cups.
So for 7 1/2 cups, you need exactly 2 1lbs!
