Okay, I know I can't make him like me but I just want to know how get his attention without asking him out. I would ask him out, but there would be no point because he doesn't wanna date until next year. So, I'm kinda stuck here wondering if he likes me or not. He does flirt sometimes but he is usually shy and I don't want to intimidate him. So how do I get him to like me without scaring him off?

For right now I would just be a friend to him. Respect his feelings about how he doesnt want to date right now.
He could have a good reason he doesnt want to date at this time and it proubly has nothing to do with you at all.
Untill then, do things that make you feel and look more confident! Guys usually like girls that are confident! good luck!

LOL, i'm happy you realiized you can't make him like you...but what u can do is....ASK HIM OUT....but not as a boyfriend/girlfriend thing...there are plenty people who go out as just friends, in all actuality its the best way to get to know someone by becoming friends first, because we all know there are things we'll tell our friends that we won't ever tell our mates!!! And since he's not interested in dating now, its perfect timing for you two to get to know each other, and if he flirts with you like you say he does, than there is some type of interest there already, so now all you have to do is get to know him since you already have his attention, all you have to do now is AMAZE him with your personality and genuine friendship and see where it goes, maybe you'll remain friends or become mates, either way its a win-win situation because its hard to find a true friend nowadays, but trust me don't just come out extremely aggressive, be friends do brunch, movies, outings, etc......Have Fun!!!!! Remember, next year is in a week or so, LOL!!! You never know!!!!! And also we often have to work and strive for the things we truly and sincerely want, so before you put your time and effort into it, first ask if this is what u truly want or is it just a phase? Think About It First.....

When it comes to relationships, men do all of the deciding so you're out of luck. If women would just have a little more gumption and try to ask men out for a change, things would be different, but that doesn't apply in this age. You're out of luck. Sorry.

Communication is the key to success. You have to find out his likes and dislikes ,then you can have something to talk about,.It becomes the basis of a friendship that in time can lead to something more serious. Hopefully by then he,and you, will be ready for it to happen.

i think you should just be yourself caz if you do something that really gets his attetntion then maybe he will start to like something that your pretending to be and not the real you soo then you will end up being someone u really arent for a long time just soo i guy will like you maybe give it some more time hes idea or not wanting to go out could possibly change anytime anyways GOOD LUCK!!! and merry xmas ;)
