Rude Aunt...please read?

So I have this aunt who is a true brut. Everyone knows it. She decided out of the blue ten years ago that she didn't want her family to be involved with the others anymore and completely pulled the plug on all gatherings. Well, a few years back, again out of the blue, she became this family woman and was right back at the gatherings acting like nothing was wrong. Anyway, she and I both conincidently bought puppies this summer. At our July 4th family gathering (at her place), our pups played really well together. So, at Thanksgiving (again at her place) I figured it would be fine for them to have another play-date. Since we only live a few blocks away I asked her if after everyone had finished eating if I could bring my pup by to play. She made me look like an idiot in front of everyone, making this disguisted face, shaking her head and saying "No, I would rather you didn't." I was floored! So, with X-mas being at OUR house this year...any thoughts on how to get back at her while sweet?

You know, people like your aunt think that when something isn't right- it's never their fault. She probably already forgot about the incident and never even wasted a thought on it. Just never ever ask her for anything anymore. She takes pleasure in taking saying no, just because she can. Knowing that now, don't ever ask her something she can say no to for no reason. Just ignore her and if she ever asks why you ignore her, say that you don't like her because she is an ******.

Christmas is all about family and good will towards your fellow human beings, get into the spirit and stop thinking about how to "get back" at her. Try doing something nice for her, surprise her and you never know, she may surprise you too.
